DCL Interior Design was established in Hampstead, London, in 2003 by Danielle Lee.

I was born in Africa, grew up in Iraq and Surrey, and originally trained as a pianist before travelling solo for a couple of years across the developing world, returning to study interior design post-graduate. I began my design career working for a prestigious Mayfair developer in 2001.

My team and I offer an experienced, friendly, and highly personal service committed to creating and overseeing stylish private residences and small commercial interiors.

Our commissions vary from large country mansions to single urban rooms, and my ethic is to create spaces specific to an occupier's taste and lifestyle.  I believe in budgeting carefully and spending wisely, always mindful of installation and user practicalities which good design demands, as well as the aesthetic impact and feeling from a space. I am committed to always providing a fully considered and thoughtful approach to the details of each project.

We do not have a particular house style as I appreciate and embrace many different aesthetics and have designed and specified projects across a wide variety of styles and budgets, from architectural urban bachelor pads to classic family homes and luxury mansions.

Working mainly with private clients, we also undertake commissions for developers, formulating  design specifications and working drawings for furniture layouts, finishes and lighting schemes.
